Job Overview

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Geriatric Medicine Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Ageing and Complex Medicine Directorate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our comprehensive Elderly Care service.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with complex medical needs, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care pathways. You will also be expected to participate in the development of our Elderly Care service, contributing to the design and implementation of new initiatives and protocols.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Geriatric Medicine, with a CCT in Dual Accreditation in GIM and Geriatric Medicine. You should have recent comprehensive experience in Geriatric Medicine and be committed to training and teaching junior medical staff and other health professionals. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
