Job Title: 2nd Line Support Engineer

We are seeking an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our team at YourRecruit Group. As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and working closely with our 1st Line Support team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote desktop
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, firewalls, and switches
  • Implement and support remote access solutions, including VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix
  • Monitor and respond to alerts and notifications from our remote monitoring and management system
  • Maintain system documentation and review in ConnectWise and IT Glue
  • Configure and troubleshoot email clients, including Outlook
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot workstation hardware, including video cards, NICs, sound cards, hard drives, and mobile devices
  • Configure and troubleshoot network servers, including Windows Server and Microsoft 365
  • Configure file, print, and remote access services
  • Administer enterprise email applications, including add/remove users and groups, configure folder permissions, forward mail to other accounts, and add aliases
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as a 2nd Line Support Engineer
  • Working knowledge of non-Cisco network and firewall technologies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server
  • Working knowledge of wireless technologies
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in the following areas:
    • Active Directory Support
    • Microsoft Windows and Windows Server Support
    • Microsoft Exchange Support
    • Cisco Switching/VLAN/Routing/Firewall Support
    • Mobile Messaging Technologies Support
    • Server Hardware Technologies (CPU/RAID/SCSI) Support
    • Data Backup and Recovery Support
    • Corporate Antivirus Support
    • VPN Connectivity Support
  • Has at least one certification, preferably MCITP, MCP, CCNA/CCDA/CCNP, Project+, Network+, or Apple
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary: £35,000 - £45,000
  • Hybrid working option with 3 days in the office
  • Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 5.00 pm
