Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to fill the position of Head of End-to-End Support at the University of York. As a key member of our research operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our research services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Grade 5 and Grade 6 staff who will provide end-to-end support for externally-funded research projects. This includes pre-award activity, post-award management, and environment development. You will work closely with academics to create budgets, handle internal approvals processes, and manage project submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective processes for pre-award, post-award, and environment development activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of navigating research culture, policies, and processes in a complex organisation.
  • Knowledge of higher education research, the mechanisms for supporting research, and the requirements of major sponsors of research activity.
  • A demonstrable track record of developing large scale funding bids and assisting others to secure research funding from a variety of different sources.
Working Environment

You will be based at the University of York, working within a dynamic and supportive research operations team. We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
