About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Financial Services department of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

The post holder will be part of a small team providing an efficient customer-focused payments service to the Trust. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to undertake various duties including data input, scanning and registration, and dealing with queries from suppliers.

The successful applicant will ideally have experience of purchase ledger in an NHS environment (or similar) and be working towards an accounting qualification. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, together with the ability to deal with people at all levels.

You will need to be able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, and must be able to prioritise a busy workload to adhere to the challenging Department of Health deadlines. You will need to be organised and methodical, be proactive to improve processes and support the development of the team as well as being committed to your own personal development.

This is for a full-time position based at the Trust's offices. The role will require being in the office 3 days a week and working from home 2 days.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital trust in the south-east of England. We provide a full range of general hospital services and some aspects of specialist and complex care to around 600,000 people living in west Kent and East Sussex. We have a team of over 8,000 full and part-time staff. We also provide specialist cancer services to around 2 million people across Kent and East Sussex via the Kent Oncology Centre.
