About the Opportunity: Are you passionate about helping children with Autism and supporting their development? Do you have experience working with children, preferably in a SEN setting or with Autism? If so, we would like to hear from you As an SEN Support Assistant, you will work closely with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing tailored support to help them reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach and flexible attitude to adapt to individual student needs, as well as a genuine passion for helping children with Autism and supporting their development. They should also be patient, empathetic, and able to manage challenging behaviour positively.

The key responsibilities of this role include providing one-to-one and small group support for children with Autism, assisting with academic and social development, implementing individual learning plans (IEPs) to help students achieve their goals, supporting communication and social interaction among students, promoting inclusion within the class, helping manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment, encouraging student engagement with the curriculum and providing necessary support, collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff members to ensure optimal outcomes for students, and assisting with personal care and other needs where required.

This position offers £84.00 per day, with opportunities for temporary positions to become permanent. Our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children means that all applicants undergo enhanced DBS checks before commencing employment.
