Senior Clinical Specialist - Paediatrics Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Clinical Specialist in Paediatrics. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health and experience of working with children and young people.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services for children and young people. The post holder will work closely with senior colleagues within the service to develop and implement effective strategies to support the development of the MHST.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the MHST team
  2. Supporting the development of the MHST alongside senior colleagues within the service
  3. Collaborating with other professionals to deliver high-quality mental health services for children and young people
  4. Leading and managing a caseload of children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems
Requirements:
  • Strong background in mental health and experience of working with children and young people
  • Proven track record of providing clinical leadership and supporting the development of mental health services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
