Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Bupa. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, ensuring the smooth operation of care services and maintaining high standards of care.
  • Supporting with clinical duties, including observing, issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and accurate record keeping.
  • Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers of the teams.
  • Helping with training and supervision of new staff members to ensure they feel welcomed and supported.
  • Building relationships with residents, their families, and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses.
  • Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties.

Requirements

  • You will have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in care. We are happy to support you in the completion of your qualification if needed.
  • You are motivated, positive, and have great interpersonal skills, and you enjoy working in a close-knit team.
  • You have previous experience of the role and knowledge of its rewards and challenges.
