- Engage in a regular on-call commitment, demonstrating your unwavering dedication to providing timely and effective support to primary care services.
We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of success at the executive level and a deep understanding of primary care. Your expertise should encompass at least one additional discipline, such as finance & system transformation or operational delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in managing highly sensitive situations involving stakeholders, media, regulators, and political entities.
- Exceptional analytical skills, enabling you to anticipate obstacles, identify solutions, and make informed decisions.
- Proven leadership abilities, fostering compassionate cultures where individuals and teams thrive at organizational, partnership, and system levels.
- Mastery in handling sensitive matters, difficult conversations, and conflict resolution with staff, stakeholders, and the public.
Additional specialist knowledge and experience in performance management, information systems, and staffing would be highly advantageous.
QualificationsA Master's degree or equivalent level of knowledge and experience is essential.
Skills & Behaviours- Comprehensive understanding of the health, care, and local government landscape, including regulatory bodies such as CQC and Ofsted. Insight into resourcing implications related to social determinants of health.
- Current awareness of best practices that reduce health inequalities, improve patient access, safety, quality, and ensure organizations are Well Led.
- In-depth knowledge of operational challenges, regulatory requirements, and levers, including approaches to incentives, cultural issues for primary care, children's services, community & acute organizations.
- Expertise in managing large-scale budgets, financial governance, and senior collective decision-making regarding budgets, value for money (VfM), risk, and financial planning of significant public funds.
- Exceptional communication skills that foster professional credibility, strong collaborations, and partnerships.
- Ability to develop business plans and provide expert advice on service delivery and design.
- Cultural competence and the ability to lead diverse teams.
