Role Overview
Sonicom is seeking a highly skilled Medical Educator in Public Health to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a substantial contribution to the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine, a pioneering partnership between Imperial College London and the University of Cumbria.

This position involves teaching public health skills, including health inequalities, epidemiology, and health improvement approaches. You will support curriculum development, create teaching materials, establish assessment and monitoring processes, and deliver teaching and assessment from August 2025. The ideal candidate will have a MSc or PhD in public health or a related field, with evidence of teaching experience and expertise in epidemiology, health inequalities, and health service planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching public health skills, including health inequalities, epidemiology, and health improvement approaches
  • Supporting curriculum development, creating teaching materials, establishing assessment and monitoring processes
  • Delivering teaching and assessment from August 2025

Requirements
  • MSc or PhD in public health or a related field
  • Evidence of teaching experience and expertise in epidemiology, health inequalities, and health service planning
  • An understanding of relevant educational theory and practice relating to student learning, teaching, assessment, and course design
