iPeople Solutions is a dynamic organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people. We are seeking an experienced Social Work Professional to join our Permanency and Transitions Team in Barnstaple.

Job Description

This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) that requires the ability to travel to various locations within North Devon. As a member of our team, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to achieve positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships with clients. A sound knowledge of legislation and regulations surrounding childcare is essential, as is the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.

In addition to working with children and families, the role involves managing adolescent risk and contextual safeguarding. You will also be responsible for preparing care/pathway plans and supervising, supporting, and mentoring young people transitioning into independent living.

Responsibilities
  1. Work with children in care and care-experienced young people up to the age of 25
  2. Build long-term relationships with children and young people, helping them reach their full potential
  3. Manage adolescent risk and contextual safeguarding
  4. Prepare care/pathway plans and supervise, support, and mentor young people transitioning into independent living
What We Offer

iPeople Solutions offers a competitive salary of £44 per hour, plus an agreed weekly agency accommodation/commuter travel allowance of up to £150 per week for those living 50 miles or more from their work base. Our team environment provides opportunities for professional growth and development.
