Art Fundraising Specialist

The National Portrait Gallery, a world-renowned cultural institution, is seeking two talented individuals to join their development team as Art Fundraising Specialists. With millions of visitors annually, the Gallery offers an incredible opportunity to make art and history accessible to diverse audiences.
This role involves collaborating with the Senior Fundraising Manager to develop pipelines of support and cultivate relationships with key funders. As an Art Fundraising Specialist, you will be responsible for maximizing the value of every trust and foundation partnership, providing excellent stewardship, and building relations to ensure long-term support. You will also seek to build and develop a pipeline of new support to ensure the Gallery's income mix is diverse.
We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and collaborative fundraisers with extensive experience in securing donations from trusts and foundations. Suitable candidates will have a passion for the arts, an understanding of the Gallery's significance, and the ability to convey that convincingly to donors. A salary of approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per annum is available for this position, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Senior Fundraising Manager on strategy to income goals while supporting a wide array of Gallery projects across exhibitions, learning, collections, and more.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with key funders, ensuring they are inspired and informed about the Gallery's impactful work.
- Work with our Prospect Researcher to identify new funding opportunities, contributing to a robust pipeline of prospects.
- Write compelling funding applications that showcase the Gallery's work and target donor interests.
