Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Development Fundraising Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the fundraising team, you will be responsible for securing funding through various channels, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, and community fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to meet departmental targets and contribute to the overall growth of the charity's income.
- Build and maintain relationships with major donors, corporates, and community groups, identifying new opportunities and cultivating existing partnerships.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of fundraising projects, from initial research and prospecting to close and stewardship.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to develop compelling proposals, reports, and other materials that showcase the impact of our work and build strong relationships with supporters.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to continuously improve fundraising strategies and outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a similar role within a charitable organization.
- Proven track record of successfully securing major gifts, building strategic partnerships, and driving fundraising results.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with database management systems, Microsoft Office, and other fundraising software.
The successful candidate can expect a salary of £34,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus a range of benefits, including:
