About the Role

Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a skilled Youth Worker to join our team in East London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic projects and programs that promote the personal and social development of young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Plan, organize, and deliver youth activities and programs that align with our service goals and objectives.
  • Young Person Engagement: Engage with young people to assess their needs and provide tailored support, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Personal Development Planning: Support young people in developing personal action plans and setting goals for their development.
  • Community Events: Manage and contribute to the planning of community events and activities designed to engage young people.
  • Safe Spaces: Create safe, inclusive spaces where young people can participate in recreational activities like sports, arts, and drama.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience working with young people in a youth work, teaching, or social care setting.
  • Skills: Experience working with vulnerable young people, including those with SEND, young carers, or those at risk of gang involvement.
  • Support Skills: Experience in mentoring, coaching, or providing one-to-one/group support to young people.
What We Offer
  • Salary: £18+ph (may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates based on experience)
  • Contract Type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
