Job Overview

Austin Fraser is seeking a skilled SEN HLTA to join our team in Nottingham, supporting children with special educational needs.

About the Role

This long-term position involves working closely with school staff to ensure inclusive lessons and tailored support for students with SEND. The successful candidate will have experience working with children with disabilities and be able to build strong relationships with parents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting small groups of children with SEND, ensuring lessons are inclusive and tailored to individual needs.
  • Working closely with school staff to maintain good behaviour in class and during smaller sessions, as well as monitoring progress.
  • Planning and delivering interventions for students accessing additional SEND support.
  • Building relationships with children's parents to ensure ongoing development and keep parents informed of the student's progress.
  • Ensuring all interventions are evidence-based and aligned with school policies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Valid in-date DBS and two professional references.
