**Job Title:** Special Needs Education Specialist

**Location:** Huyton, Liverpool

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Special Needs Education Specialist to join our team at a reputable school in Huyton. The successful candidate will provide dedicated one-to-one support for a child with complex needs in the Reception class.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in an Early Years setting. They should be able to adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of the child, ensuring they can fully access the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

The salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a challenging yet highly rewarding position that requires resilience, adaptability, and a strong understanding of SEN strategies.

About the Role:

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a child with complex needs in the Reception class.
  • Offer tailored support for the child's learning, social, and emotional development, adapting strategies to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining individual learning plans and behaviour support plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, external agencies, and parents to ensure consistent and effective support for the child.

About You:

  • Have previous experience supporting children with complex needs, ideally in an Early Years setting.
  • Be compassionate, patient, and committed to helping children overcome challenges to achieve their potential.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of SEN and the strategies required to support children with additional needs effectively.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and be able to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Be resilient, adaptable, and proactive in your approach to providing high-quality support.
