Job Title:

Academic SEN Tutor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic SEN Tutor to join our team at Milk Education. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1) pupils with EHCP and a diagnosis of autism.
  2. Work with children with additional SEND needs, including autism, to support their educational development.
  3. Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes equality and diversity.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure pupils' individual needs are met.
  5. Provide intimate care as needed to support children's well-being and development.
  6. Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and implementing interventions where necessary.
  7. Maintain accurate records of pupils' development and communicate with stakeholders.
  8. Uphold school policies and practices in line with safeguarding regulations.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Evidence of professional development relevant to SEND, early years, and Key Stage One.
  • A minimum of three years' experience teaching in a SEN Unit Class (preferable).
  • Experience working with children with additional SEND needs, particularly autism.
