We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Family Engagement Lead. This is an 18-month fixed-term post, jointly funded by the Local Maternity & Neonatal System (LMNS) and the Northern Neonatal Network (NNN). The role will be collaborative and designed to evolve to meet the needs of families.

As a Family Engagement Lead, you will work within the NNN team, which includes care coordinators, clinicians, and representatives from all ten neonatal units in the region. You will also have access to the MNVP, clinical staff, and maternity units across the north east.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the local region, neonatal units, and pathways. Strategic vision and operational implementation are key qualities required for this role, along with change management and the ability to translate national policy into service improvement.

Key Responsibilities:\
  • To work across the region to effect how neonatal services can be provided more effectively for all communities.
  • To champion consistency in neonatal services.
  • To forge key relationships with the network Care Coordinators, the Parent Advisory Group, and the local MNVPs to seek out and listen to the voices of parents and families who have had a neonatal experience.

Salary: £60,000 dependent on experience.
