As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our care staff, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of care staff to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex needs.
- Develop and implement individual care plans, ensuring that the needs of each child or young person are met and their rights are respected.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and healthcare professionals, to ensure that our children and young people receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to ensure that our children and young people are safe and well-supported.
- Provide training and support to care staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our care services, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Relevant qualification in childcare or social work, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a residential care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and adults.
- Ability to lead and manage a team, with a focus on staff development and well-being.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including the Children Act and the Care Standards Act.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
