Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Youth Care and Support Team Lead to join our team as a Home Manager at one of our residential care homes. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead and manage a team of care staff in providing 24/7 care and support to residents with complex needs
  • To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the home, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures
  • To work closely with the Service Manager to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each resident
  • To provide guidance, support, and training to care staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, including incident reports and staff rotas
  • To communicate effectively with residents, families, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to care
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives and programs to improve the quality of care and support
  • To work in partnership with other teams and departments to achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • To ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Ofsted and CQC standards

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a residential care setting
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or social work (e.g., Diploma in Residential Care or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Valid driving license and ability to drive a minibus
