Job Title: Head of Health and Safety, Fire

A leading Manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Health and Safety to join their team. This is a permanent role based out of the company's Dungannon site.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and vision in SHEQ for the company's global operations, ensuring compliance in all areas. They will engage, support, and positively influence directors, managers, and first-line supervisors to create and maintain a vibrant health and safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement initiatives, campaigns, and new processes to drive continual improvement of safety, health, environment, and quality in the Company.
  • Manage and lead all incident investigations, ensuring investigations produced are of sufficient quality and within prescribed timescales.
  • Lead an effective inspection and internal audit plan, ensuring that the SHEQ team carries out sufficient levels of site inspections and internal audits of processes.
  • Prepare regular reports on operational SHEQ performance.
  • Liaise with external bodies including the HSE, OSHA, Environmental Offices, Councils, contractors, fire service, and other regulatory and professional stakeholders.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) Level 6 in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • ISO Internal Auditor (desirable).
  • Experience in an operational SHEQ role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with minimum 3 years in a senior SHEQ role.
  • Full understanding of legal HSE policy and guidelines.
