Job Title: Head of Health

A leading Manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Health to join their team.

This is a permanent role based out of the company's Dungannon site, offering a highly competitive rate of pay and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and improve employee engagement on all health, safety, environment, and quality matters.
  • Engage, support, and positively influence directors, managers, and first-line supervisors to create and maintain a vibrant health and safety culture.
  • Lead the implementation of initiatives, campaigns, and new processes to drive continual improvement of safety, health, environment, and quality.
  • Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets for the SHEQ team and present the team's progress to the Executive Team.
  • Develop, review, and update all safety, health, environmental, and quality strategies, policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Manage and lead all incident investigations, ensuring investigations are of sufficient quality and within prescribed timescales.
  • Lead an effective inspection and internal audit plan, ensuring the SHEQ team carries out sufficient levels of site inspections and internal audits of processes.
  • Monitor and track inspection and audit information to look for trends and compliance with SHEQ management systems.
  • Liaise with external bodies, including the HSE, OSHA, Environmental Offices, Councils, contractors, fire service, and other regulatory and professional stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent).
  • Level 6 in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Experience in an operational SHEQ role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior SHEQ role.
  • Full understanding of legal HSE policy and guidelines.
