Job Title: Head of Health, Safety and Environment

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Health, Safety and Environment to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and implementing our health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and stay up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Manage and coordinate health, safety, and environmental projects and initiatives to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • 10 years' experience in a health, safety, and environmental role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including ISO 45001 and OSHA standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends to inform decision-making.
