Job Title: Head of Health and Safety, Fire

A leading Manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Health and Safety, Fire to join their team. This is a permanent role based out of the company's Dungannon site.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and improving employee engagement within the organisation on all health, safety, environment and quality matters. They will engage, support and positively influence directors, managers and first-line supervisors to maintain a vibrant health and safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead with purpose the implementation of initiatives, campaigns and new processes for continual improvement of safety, health, environment and quality in the Company.
  • Set Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and targets for the SHEQ team and present the team's progress to Executive Team.
  • Develop, review and update all safety, health, environmental and quality strategies, policies, procedures and documentation.
  • Manage and lead all incident investigations, ensuring investigations meet quality standards and timescales.
  • Lead an effective inspection and internal audit plan, ensuring sufficient site inspections and internal audits are conducted.
  • Monitor and track inspection and audit information for trends and compliance.
  • Maintain and publish a calendar of key safety activities and regulatory inspection dates.
  • Prepare regular reports on operational SHEQ performance.
  • Support validation and approval of subcontractor's pre-qualification checks and onboarding.
  • Liaise with external bodies including HSE, OSHA, Environmental Offices and other regulatory stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent).
  • Level 6 in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Full understanding of legal HSE policy and guidelines.
