Job Title: Head of Estates and Health

A leading Manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Health and Safety to join their team.

About the Role

This is a permanent position based out of the company's Dungannon site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees and others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with external bodies, including the HSE and OSHA, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system to ensure effective risk management and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety matters, including training and awareness programs.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) Level 6 in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Full understanding of legal HSE policy and guidelines.
