Skin Cancer Care Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist Team at University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a key member of the team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with skin cancer, working closely with senior nursing and medical staff to support and deputise in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to patients with skin cancer, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional needs are met.
- Collaborate with the Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist Team to develop and implement innovative care pathways, aligning with evidence-based practice and national standards.
- Provide expert clinical support to senior nursing and medical staff, contributing to Multidisciplinary meeting discussions and advocating for patients' needs.
- Support patients through the psychological impact of treatments and altered body image, promoting their overall well-being.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with members of the nursing, medical, and multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Initiate and support innovative change within the skin cancer service, working closely with the team to drive excellence in patient care.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications- Band 5 Registered Nurse
- Post-registration experience in a relevant area
What We Offer
A competitive salary of £31,365 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience, plus opportunities for professional development and career advancement in a dynamic and supportive environment.
