Simulator Development Specialist

Alpine F1 Team is seeking a skilled Simulator Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Simulator Group, you will work closely with our colleagues and PU supplier to deliver high-quality results and develop the simulator systems, tools, and processes. This role offers a competitive salary range of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
This role includes planning, executing, analysing, and reporting simulator tests, supporting correlation activities to ensure simulator behaviour matches real car behaviour, contributing to the development of the driver-in-the-loop simulator to advance its capabilities and increase its contribution to real-world car development, and proactive problem-solving skills in areas of vehicle dynamics and performance as required by the team's priorities.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a First-Class Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, with a strong mathematical background and a good general technical engineering knowledge. Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong time-management and planning abilities, self-motivation, and the ability to work with minimal supervision delivering high-quality designs to crucial deadlines are also essential. A minimum of 2 years' professional engineering experience in Formula 1 or another high-level motorsport championship is required. Expertise in the use of MATLAB/Simulink and Motorsport data analysis software (e.g. Atlas) is necessary. Experience of programming in Python or C would be an advantage.
