Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Design Specialist to join our team at the Alpine Enstone office. This role will be responsible for designing and developing complex hydraulic systems for our Formula 1 cars.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create optimal hydraulic system designs using data-driven approaches, considering factors such as mass and parasitic losses.
  2. Develop detailed hydraulic schematics and diagnostic tools.
  3. Analyze and resolve system issues efficiently.
  4. Select suitable materials and hydraulic components, including QDs, solenoids, and servovalves.
  5. Design and implement test procedures to ensure on-time delivery of reliable parts meeting aerodynamic and mechanical requirements.
  6. Collaborate closely with Aerodynamics, Control Systems, and Simulation teams.
  7. Take ownership of your area of responsibility, leading the design of hydraulic tooling and liaising with Production and Quality groups.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or higher) with a strong understanding of Engineering Fundamentals, particularly hydraulics.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in a relevant field, preferably within F1, the supply chain, or motorsport.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., Catia V5/3DX) is an advantage.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive package, including a BUPA medical plan, private pension scheme, bonus scheme, and access to local discounts.
