About the Role

This position involves working as a Powertrain Engineer in our Enstone office, focusing on the development of complex hydraulic systems and components for our Formula 1 cars.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct data-driven design processes to create optimal hydraulic system performances, considering key factors such as mass and parasitic losses.
  2. Develop and maintain detailed hydraulic schematics and diagnostic tools.
  3. Identify and resolve system issues efficiently.
  4. Select suitable materials and hydraulic components, including QDs, solenoids, and servovalves.
  5. Design and implement test procedures to ensure on-time delivery of reliable parts meeting aerodynamic and mechanical requirements.
  6. Collaborate closely with Aerodynamics, Control Systems, and Simulation teams.
  7. Take full ownership of your area of responsibility, leading the design of hydraulic tooling and liaising with Production and Quality groups.
