About the Job

BlueGreen Recruit Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Recreational Activities Lead. This role involves planning and implementing activities that promote social and mental stimulation among our service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the needs and preferences of service users.
  2. Collaborate with care staff to identify service users' needs and preferences.
  3. Lead and supervise individual and group activity programs.
  4. Maintain accurate records of service users and contribute to other establishment records as required.
  5. Provide personal care to service users as needed.
  6. Oversee volunteers and direct them as necessary.
  7. Contribute to the development and review of individual care plans to ensure they meet service users' needs for social and mental stimulation.
  8. Organize and arrange group and individual activity programs in collaboration with the Manager, conducting risk assessments for all planned activities.
  9. Participate in staff meetings and engage in ongoing training and professional development.
  10. Perform any other duties of similar or lesser importance as required by the organization.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations.
  2. Basic understanding of health and safety protocols.
  3. Awareness of anti-discriminatory practices and attitudes.
  4. Previous experience working in a caring role or within the community.
  5. Experience planning and organizing activities.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Effective organizational skills.
  8. Able to contribute to group work and collaborate with others.
  9. Able to assist in developing and implementing care plans and reviews.

Salary and Benefits
