About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Sonar Engineering Manager to join our team at Gold Group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading complex engineering projects, with a strong background in sonar, acoustics, and underwater systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet requirements and are fit for purpose.
  • Oversee engineering activities across the entire portfolio, ensuring technical aspects are managed effectively from concept through to delivery.
  • Partner with product and program managers to achieve high standards of engineering delivery on complex projects.
  • Develop detailed engineering plans that identify dependencies, assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Engineering Lead in complex engineering delivery, ideally in maritime, sonar, or acoustics.
  • Demonstrated ability in product-based engineering and managing large teams.
  • Strong experience in producing detailed engineering plans and managing dependencies.
  • Solid understanding of the engineering project lifecycle and experience navigating projects through key design gates.
