Healthcare Operations Manager

Position Overview
The Healthcare Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective, efficient, and profitable management of the practice while fostering a positive and dedicated team environment.
This role involves keeping the leadership informed about upcoming changes in the healthcare sector and providing strategic options for adaptation.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management and Development
Overseeing administrative personnel and the non-clinical management of nursing staff, which includes securing funding, leading performance evaluations, and organizing recruitment and training processes.
Ensuring that all staff receive contracts of employment and that the practice adheres to relevant employment laws. Regularly reviewing and updating employment policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Financial Oversight
Managing bookkeeping, petty cash, and other financial responsibilities of the practice, including payroll and pension scheme arrangements.
Ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and preparing financial reports for the leadership team.
IT Management
Overseeing the practice's computer systems, including organizing maintenance and upgrades, while ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
Facility and Equipment Management
Responsible for the security, repair, insurance, and maintenance of the practice's premises and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Patient Engagement
Developing and maintaining systems for addressing patient inquiries and feedback, including overseeing the complaints process in collaboration with the leadership team.
Regularly updating the practice's informational materials and health education resources.
Strategic Planning
Preparing business plans, annual reports, and setting practice objectives as required by the leadership team.
Staying informed about developments in the healthcare sector that may impact the practice and providing strategic options for consideration.
External Relations
Facilitating effective communication both internally and externally, serving as the primary contact for various stakeholders including healthcare organizations, legal advisors, and financial consultants.

The role requires strict adherence to confidentiality regarding sensitive patient information and practice operations, ensuring that all data is handled in accordance with established policies.
Health and Safety Leadership:
The Healthcare Operations Manager will lead initiatives to promote health, safety, and security within the practice, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and conducting regular training.
