Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with ASD in a vibrant primary school in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work 1:1 with a pupil while contributing to the overall development of a challenging but rewarding class environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 tailored support to a Year 5 pupil with ASD, ensuring their emotional and educational needs are met.
  • Create a calm and structured learning environment for the pupil and their peers.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised support strategies.
  • Support the pupil in managing social interactions and building positive relationships.
  • Monitor and record progress, sharing updates with staff and parents.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with children with ASD or SEND in a primary school setting.
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting children in challenging environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
