Job Title: Leaving Care Worker

Barnardo's is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Leaving Care Worker to join our team in Lincoln. As a key member of our Leaving Care Service, you will play a vital role in supporting care experienced young people aged 16-25 to live independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out pathway plans reviews, statutory visits, and risk assessments for Lincolnshire care experienced young people.
  • Offer information, advice, guidance, and support with accommodation, health, education, employment, and independent skills.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies to provide information, advice, and guidance on employment, education, and training, finance, and health issues.
  • Assist specialist workers in supporting care experienced young people to attain their employment, housing, educational, and emotional wellbeing aspirations.
  • Participate in the delivery of the Urgent Support service and work as part of a team.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge or experience of working with children in care and care experienced young people.
  • Presentation of self in a professional manner with continued professional development and a desire to learn.
  • Experience of working with the Signs of Safety programme is desirable.
  • Good level of knowledge and competency in the use of IT, using Microsoft programmes and internal platforms and systems.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in a self-managed demanding role, managing own diary, workload, prioritizing tasks, and working under pressure.
