Senior Specialist Nurse

At NELFT NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist/Family Therapist/Child Psychotherapist to join our Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in North Essex. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working together to support the delivery of evidence-based interventions to children, young people, and families experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties.
The post-holder will work alongside the Clinical Lead and Team Manager to help support the delivery of psychological support across the service. They will be responsible for assessment, treatment, and systematic outcome measurement and provide clinical supervision of staff. The post-holder will be accountable for their own professional actions and will work within professional ethics & NELFT NHS Trust Policies.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled practitioner to join our team and contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality therapeutic interventions for young people and families. The successful candidate will have a breadth of experience in child and adolescent mental health services and feel passionate and excited to help shape and deliver services to best support the needs of the local population in North Essex.
Main Duties of the Job
The post-holder will be responsible for:
- Assessment, treatment, and systematic outcome measurement of children, young people, and families
- Providing clinical supervision of staff
- Working alongside the Clinical Lead and Team Manager to support the delivery of psychological support across the service
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist)
- Extensive experience of working with difficult, disturbed, or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions
- Extensive experience of working with children and adolescents with co-morbid difficulties and special needs
