Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at Priory Group. As a key member of our Adult Care division, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans, including Functional Behaviour Assessments, to support individuals in achieving their goals.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to colleagues, promoting best practices in Positive Behaviour Support.
  • Conduct incident analysis and provide support to colleagues, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge in Positive Behaviour Support.

Requirements:

  • Hold a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support, such as a BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities or a PBS Graduate Diploma.
  • Be qualified or willing to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor certification.
  • Demonstrate person-centred beliefs, values, and attitude, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Have a deep understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and Applied Behaviour Analysis.
  • Have a history of conducting behavioural assessments and developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions for individuals.
  • Have experience in direct support work with individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism, and behaviours of concern.
  • Have a history of reducing the use of restrictive practices and delivering Positive Behaviour Support training.
  • Have excellent record-keeping and written skills, including report writing.
  • Have a detailed understanding of relevant legal frameworks and policies, such as the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Safeguarding.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £30,000 per annum.
  • A 37.5-hour working week.
  • A permanent, full-time contract.
