Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at Priory Group, a leading provider of specialist care in community settings.

As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering support that enables individuals to develop and improve their quality of life outcomes. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans, including Functional Behaviour Assessments, and provide practice leadership and training to colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support, such as a BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities or a PBS Graduate Diploma, and be qualified or willing to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor. You will also have excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and a deep understanding of the principles of Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behaviour Analysis.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering person-centred care and has a history of reducing the use of restrictive practices. You will also have experience in conducting behavioural assessments and developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions for individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans, including Functional Behaviour Assessments
  • Provide practice leadership and training to colleagues
  • Support the development of staff skills and knowledge in Positive Behaviour Support
  • Conduct behavioural assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate interventions for individuals

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support
  • Qualified or willing to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Deep understanding of the principles of Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behaviour Analysis
