Primary SEND Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Primary SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with behavioral and additional needs in a Primary School setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with additional needs, including behavioral challenges, in a Primary School setting.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with complex needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the well-being and engagement of all students.

Requirements:

  • Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification (or equivalent for ratio requirements)
  • Experience working with children with additional needs, including challenging behaviors
  • Previous experience in a Primary School setting (ideally 6+ months)
  • Up-to-date and clear DBS check registered on the update service
  • Resilience and patience
  • Ability to be a great team player
  • Experience with MAPA/team teach or willingness to undergo training
