Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Smile Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized 1:1 support to a child in KS1, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with the child, teachers, and parents to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Support the child in transitioning back into the main classroom, ensuring a smooth and successful integration.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and engaging learning environment, tailored to the child's needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the child, their family, and school staff, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • Hold a minimum Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in supporting children with SEND, particularly those with non-verbal communication needs.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, learning strategies, and behavior management techniques.
