They will also be required to take responsibility for human and financial resources, contributing to key performance outcomes within the directorate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage nursing teams to ensure high-quality patient care is delivered across all areas of the department
  • Demonstrate effective leadership, setting and monitoring professional standards, working collaboratively, managing complaints, and leading the nursing contribution for clinical governance at a specialty/department level
  • Contribute to innovative solutions to workforce & capacity management, taking into account the needs of the department and the trust as a whole
  • Take responsibility for human and financial resources, contributing to key performance outcomes within the directorate
  • Act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
  • Ensure all information processed for patients and staff is kept confidential, accurate, and in line with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Caldecott Policy
