Transform lives as an Occupational Therapist in the High Peak area of Derbyshire.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our Adult Social Care and Health team as a part-time Occupational Therapist. This exciting opportunity allows you to work in a community-based setting, building strong relationships with adults and their families to maximise independence and promote well-being.

You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team that values person-centred practice, creative problem-solving, and effective collaboration. As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the autonomy to work independently while contributing to a multi-disciplinary team approach.

Your role will involve assessing individuals' activities of daily living, identifying barriers to independence, and developing tailored solutions to enhance occupational performance. You will also have opportunities to work across various areas, including safeguarding, complex health needs, moving and handling, learning disabilities, and behaviours that challenge.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • HCPC registration or eligibility for registration
  • Knowledge and experience in person-centred, holistic, and strengths-based practice
  • Assessment skills and knowledge of activities of daily living
  • Experience working with physical, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions
  • Understanding of equipment and adaptation solutions
  • Ability to manage and prioritise casework effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Understanding of statutory legislation and codes of conduct
  • Safeguarding principles and practices
