**Occupational Therapist Assistant**
**£33,500 per annum**
Part of The Norse Group, N-Able specialise in providing equipment to aid daily living, assistive technology and major adaptations to customers and clients across the County. Our aim is to keep customers safe, independent, and happy in their own home for as long as possible.
Due to recent expansion, we currently have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team in Buxton, working as part of our new joint venture partnership with High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.
**The Role**:
As Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will be a crucial part in improving our clients lives ensuring greater independence and overcoming challenges within day-to-day activities. You will be involved in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of person-centred care planning and person-centred formulations. Additionally, within this role you will be required to:
- Use specialist occupational therapy assessments where appropriate for individual therapy, to assist with functional daily living tasks which will be carried out in client’s homes.
- Take a clinical role in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client’s needs within their own home.
- Contribute to the provision of a high standard of service delivery and the development of the occupational therapy service, within the multi-disciplinary team context.
- Provide advice and support to the service user and their family or carers.
You will have knowledge of the principles, methods, equipment and adaptations used in occupational therapy. We are looking for you to display previous experience with a similar role either in the community or a care or hospital-based setting, including:
- Level 6 NVQ or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
- Knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grant.
- Good understanding of potential major adaptations at client’s homes, to ensure activities of daily living and functional tasks relating to personal care activities and clients needs are being met.
- Good negotiating, time management and delegation skills, including ability to manage own workload and that of others.
- Full UK driving license to meet travel requirements.
