Senior Knitwear Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Knitwear Designer to join our team at ME+EM Ltd. As a Senior Knitwear Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing original, high-quality knitwear products that capture the essence of our brand and meet our customer's expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop knitwear products that reflect the ME+EM brand DNA and customer requirements.
- Work closely with the Head of Knit and Jersey to build product stories, create mood boards, and colour palettes.
- Responsible for designing own styles from initial research to detailed sketches, artwork, and spec packages.
- Manage the presentation of styles in Sketch & Swatch meetings and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Produce detailed tech packs and liaise with suppliers and factories.
- Manage presentation of your styles in Proto meetings and ensure that the product offerings cater to a broad range of customers.
- View the knitwear collection as a whole and ensure that the offer caters to broad range of customers as well as ensuring that outfit building is achieved through collaboration with other senior designers.
- Aware of company and competitor product and retail prices and is capable of working on design developments to achieve price targets.
- Understands and achieves company wide and individual style critical paths.
- Working proactively with a junior designer, alongside the Head of Knit and Jersey, to ensure workload is managed, critical path deadlines are met and the range is balanced and cohesive.
- Keep abreast of new trends, technologies, suppliers, and techniques to ensure that the products are always relevant and up-to-date.

- Commercial and aspirational knitwear design experience.
- Highly creative, trend-driven with a high-end taste level and a true connection to knitwear design.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced fashion environment.
- Good technical knowledge and understanding of garment construction.
- Able to work on their own, take initiative, and work as part of a team.
