Job Overview
Design and Development: Create original sweater designs, ensuring they align with our brand vision, seasonal trends, and customer demands.
Trend Analysis: Research and stay updated on current fashion trends, materials, and techniques specific to knitwear and sweater design.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Develop technical specifications, including sketches, measurements, and knitting instructions, to communicate design concepts clearly to the production team.
- Trend Analysis: Source and select appropriate yarns, fibers, and materials for sweater designs, emphasizing quality, durability, and sustainability.
- Sample Development: Oversee the development of samples, working closely with the production team to make necessary adjustments and ensure the final product meets quality standards.
- Fit and Construction: Ensure sweater designs meet fit and construction standards by attending fittings, reviewing samples, and making adjustments as necessary.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and production teams to coordinate product launches and ensure cohesive seasonal collections.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on sweaters throughout the production process to maintain consistency and quality across the product line.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- 8 years of design experience, specifically in sweaters or knitwear, with a strong portfolio showcasing sweater products.
