Technical Knitwear Specialist

At House of CB, we're seeking an experienced Technical Knitwear Specialist to join our dynamic Design and Development team. This role will focus on delivering high-quality technical packs, CADs and amendments for our knitwear collections. You will be responsible for liaising with our designers to ensure accurate tech packs that meet our brand's quality standards. Key responsibilities include drawing technical drawings, sourcing suitable hardware, and collaborating with our RTW and knitwear departments to ensure garment details are correct. If you're passionate about knitwear and have a strong understanding of garment construction and pattern cutting, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with designers to produce technical packs that meet our brand's quality standards.
- Draw accurate technical drawings and occasional artworks using Illustrator.
- Decide on suitable finishes and construction for our knitwear collections.
- Collate relevant information from team members into technical packs in Illustrator.
- Communicate clearly with our RTW and knitwear departments to ensure garment details are correct.
- Have a clear understanding and communication of garment construction and pattern cutting to ensure accurate tech packs.
- Improve the quality of our garments to a higher level, with a focus on luxury knitwear.
- Work with our in-house computer system to liaise with offshore factories on technical specs.
- Amend technical packs, BOMs and range overviews to keep our designs up to date and accurate.
- Measure and prepare garments, and assist in fits.
- General admin - range plans/sample tracking, etc.
Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar or complementary role.
- Experience in knitwear or an interest to learn.
- Proficient in Illustrator and Excel.
- Confident in garment construction and pattern cutting techniques.
- Good fabric and yarn knowledge.
- Comfortable working to a strict schedule.
- Confident in measurements and proportions.
