Job Overview

This role involves supporting learners with additional learning support needs, including those with diagnosed SEND requirements and EHCPs. The successful candidate will work within the Additional Learning Support Team, reporting directly to the ALS Team Leader. Collaborative working with learners, their families, schools, colleagues, and external agencies is essential in assessing, identifying, and designing support plans for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will work collaboratively with the wider Additional Learning Support Team, as well as the exams team, curriculum and support staff, and other internal and external professionals as appropriate. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and identifying learner support needs
  • Designing and implementing support plans
  • Working with learners, their families, and schools to achieve planned outcomes

A strong understanding of SEND requirements and experience in working with learners with diverse needs is essential for this role.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Qualifications in English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent)
  • A specialist SEND qualification
  • A Certificate in Psychometric Testing, Assessment and Access Arrangements (CPT3A) or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
