We are seeking an experienced Urban Planning Specialist to join our team

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of clients across the UK, including local authorities, developers, and landowners.

As an Urban Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting land through the planning process and securing allocations for housing and commercial development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead land promotion, securing allocations for housing and commercial use.
  • Assist in planning applications and manage appeals where necessary.
  • Review site layouts and constraints, ensuring planning assumptions are feasible.
  • Oversee Reserved Matters planning applications and planning conditions.
  • Track conditions, manage payments, and provide project oversight.
  • Appoint and manage external consultants.
  • Monitor Local Plan documents and assess competitor activity.
  • Engage with local communities and stakeholders.
  • Develop planning strategies and evaluate development options.
  • Produce progress reports and manage project budgets.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in urban planning or a related field.
  • Degree in urban planning or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation available.
  • A full driving license.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
