Job Opportunity: Imaging Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to join our Radiology department as an Imaging Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to medical staff, GPs, and patients.

About the Role:

  • Provide a central point of contact for all enquiries and advice regarding internal and external referrals.
  • Ensure efficient and effective communication of enquiries throughout the working day.
  • Coordinate requests to send images out and receive images in through the Image Exchange Portal (IEP).
  • Monitor the unverified list and process as appropriate.
  • Obtain adequate information for previous external scans to be entered on the Radiology Information System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for medical staff and GPs on behalf of Consultant Radiologists.
  • Process and coordinate requests to send and receive images via the IEP.
  • Monitor the unverified list and ensure timely processing.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System.
  • Promote effective customer-focused communication with patients and service users.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Sound knowledge of the Radiology Information System and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good understanding of confidentiality issues and ability to maintain discretion.
  • Able to adapt to changing demands and priorities.

Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
