Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a skilled Public Health Project Officer to join their team. This exciting role involves developing, promoting, and delivering health behaviour interventions/programmes in schools and the community across the Wokingham Borough.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people. As a Public Health Project Officer, you will work in partnership with multi-professional and multi-agency stakeholders to enhance wellbeing and health behaviours in schools and education settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and promote health behaviour interventions/programmes in schools and the community.
  • Work in partnership with stakeholders to enhance wellbeing and health behaviours.
  • Support schools in Wokingham with PHSE/RSE topics including Physical Activity, Sexual Health, Drugs & Alcohol harm, Smoking & Vaping Harm.
Requirements:
  • Public Health Qualification or experience working on Public Health Projects.
  • Experience of working with children and young people.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to work in project teams and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Understanding of local and national Public Health & Wellbeing priorities for children and young people.
