KS2 Intervention Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated KS2 Intervention Teacher to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting the learning outcomes of our pupils.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to make a significant impact on the lives and learning of children, working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to identify and support pupils who require additional support.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective intervention lessons in English and/or Maths for pupils in KS2, promoting high-quality teaching and raising attainment.
- Work closely with class teachers to track pupils' progress, identify areas of need, and implement targeted strategies to support their learning.
- Build positive relationships with children, encouraging and supporting their academic and emotional development, and providing regular feedback to parents on progress and achievements.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team to contribute to the overall development of the school's approach to inclusive education and intervention strategies.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated educator with the skills and enthusiasm to support pupils in their learning journey. The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in KS2 and a sound understanding of the National Curriculum and age-appropriate expectations.
- A passion for supporting pupils with varying learning needs, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in delivering interventions to small groups or 1:1 is desirable.
