  • We are seeking an experienced KS2 Intervention Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel.

 

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering targeted intervention programmes to support pupils in Years 3 to 6. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to identify and support children who require additional support, both in English and Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To plan and deliver engaging and effective intervention lessons in English and/or Maths for pupils in KS2.
  • To work with small groups of pupils or on a 1:1 basis, delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching to support learning progress.
  • To assess pupils' progress regularly and adjust interventions accordingly to meet individual needs.
  • To collaborate closely with class teachers to track pupils' progress, identify areas of need, and implement targeted strategies.
  • To build positive relationships with children, encouraging and supporting their academic and emotional development.
  • To provide feedback to pupils and parents on progress and achievements.
  • To contribute to the overall development of the school's approach to inclusive education and intervention strategies.

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in KS2, with a sound understanding of the National Curriculum and age-appropriate expectations.
  • A passion for supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • A patient, creative, and flexible approach to teaching, with a commitment to raising standards and fostering a love of learning.
